Our Linguists - Industry Norms
Reputable translation and interpreting companies often have policies and procedures in place to ensure that the linguists retained are of the highest possible caliber.
Research shows that the majority of linguists who provide professional services worldwide do not have a post-secondary education in the field and are not members of professional organizations. The average professional is nearing retirement age, and many professional associations provide on-dossier certification with no mechanism for ongoing member testing. While improving, translation and interpreting remains a heavily fragmented cottage industry.
Daily testing and ongoing improvement in meeting evolving client requirements enable translation companies to provide consistent levels of quality service that are otherwise unattainable. However, beware of firms claiming to use only certified professionals in all combinations of language and subject matters. While every effort is made to use language professionals who also belong to professional associations with relevant educational backgrounds, it is not always possible.
LinguaTrans® is well-respected in the industry and for good reason. Give us the opportunity to be of service and experience a level of service unmatched in the industry.
